Need Internet While Hiking Out In The Backcountry? Nomad Internet Has The Answer

Nomad Internet has committed to providing internet access to areas that need it the most. When the company first launched, its goal was to provide internet access to areas that did not have any. This included low-income communities, campgrounds, RV parks, and rural areas. Then, the pandemic hit, and everyone was home. They quickly learned their services were in need throughout the country to help keep adults working and kids in online school.

Once the pandemic was over, Nomad Internet decided to take things a step further in ensuring everyone has internet access. Nomad introduced the Nomad Air Travel bag, allowing people to head out to the backcountry or anywhere off the grid and still have access to the internet. The travel bag provides a 7-day battery, a GPS tracker and a solar charging panel. It will give travelers and outdoorsy people a way to stay in contact with others if needed.

The travel bag was a game-changer for those who camp or play off the grid. Nomad did not stop there. To continue their efforts in providing internet access to people regardless of where they are or going, Nomad introduced the Nomad Air Rental Kiosk. Jessica Gaza, Nomad Internet co-founder, states the kiosk is the next logical step in achieving their goals.

The kiosk will be self-service. Customers can walk up to any Nomad kiosk and rent internet access. Customers can rent internet access for an hour or as long as seven days. Payment is made at the time with a debit or credit card or Apply Pay.

The ultimate goal is to have the Nomad in areas where travelers and those who enjoy the outdoors would most likely frequent. Places will include RV parks, campgrounds, sporting goods stores, and travel centers. Kiosks will provide internet access for people who want the option to stay connected.
