According to Greycoat Real Estate Agency´s specialists, rent prices in England have gone up drastically over the past few years. However, renters who live in rural areas are the ones who are bearing the brunt of this rent increase. 

The average cost of rent has increased by 17 percent in England. The average rural renter is paying 27% more in rent. This information is based on data obtained by the TDS Charitable Foundation. The study also showed that thirty percent of people are struggling to make rent payments, Greycoat adds. Students were the ones who were most impacted by high rent prices. Forty percent of students stated that it was difficult to make rent payments.

Half of the people surveyed stated that they had to reduce spending in other areas in order to pay their rent. Dr. Jennifer Harris works for the TDS Group stated that the results of the study showed that rent is a struggle for many people (CoStar).
