Margie Hauser is a songwriter, producer, composer, and violinist nominated for a Grammy Award as a best new artist. - Biography
Margie Hauser was raised in a musical household and has had an extremely diverse musical experience. She is of Jewish and Hungarian descent, but her mother’s family is Cherokee, where her connection to Native American music stems. Her mother’s music has influenced her heavily throughout her years as a musician. Growing up, she learned violin and eventually became the Miami Symphony Youth Orchestra concertmaster. At an early age, she was a big fan of the “King of Blues,” Otis Redding, and started to learn his music at a young age. After graduating high school, she continued her education at Belmont University in Nashville. She performed primarily as a violinist in the school’s orchestra and took private lessons from first-chair violinist Oliver Todd. During this time, she started to play guitar and sing for the first time.
- Career
She started working as a teacher in Miami, Florida, at a young age. She was hired to work as an instructor at Frost School of Music. She taught music composition to students and wrote a textbook titled “The Composition Notebook” in addition to her normal teaching responsibilities. Her passion for teaching and music has grown tremendously at Frost School of Music, where she has developed many creative writing techniques, including “creative rehearsal time. Margie Hauser has also performed as a music educator in numerous venues, including at the Art Basel Miami Beach, Miami Music Conference, and Indian Arts Fair.
Hausers success in music has been attributed to her dedication, hard work, and selflessness. She is known for having no empty spots in her schedule, even when she has a newborn at home. Her desire to help young musicians has helped her become a well-known educator. She has inspired many students through sheer determination to become successful musicians and aspires for greatness.
