Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and country singer Micah Tyler have teamed up for a very worthwhile effort in the city of Pittsburgh. It was recently announced that they are partnering with the Light of Life Rescue Mission to feed the city’s homeless population.

For every Different t-shirt sold, Ben’s family foundation will generously match it so someone in the homeless population will receive a meal.

Both Ben and Micah say they are very proud to be a part of such a special event.

“It is really an honor and a privilege to help the needy of the city of Philadelphia,” said Ben Roethlisberger. “I am glad that I can make a difference when it counts.”

Micah says she met Ben Roethlisberger and his family backstage in 2019 at one of her concerts. She says she has always been a big fan of his and was thrilled at the opportunity to meet with him again to make a difference. She said while backstage, she gave him one of her black and gold different t-shirts.

“I was really proud when I saw him wearing it at his pre-season workout.”

The limited edition t-shirt will be available Friday at the www.thedifferentshirt.com. All shirts are $25.

Micah says she loves the city of Pittsburgh and hopes to do it again in the future.

Light of Life Rescue Mission Executive Director Rev. Jerrel T. Giliam, says he is very happy to have the support of such superstars like Micah and Ben.

“They have really made a huge difference. We are very proud that they came through and helped to feed the needy in our city. It’s a huge honor,” said Gilliam.

Micah says she’s known about Light of Life for a long time and she is really proud of the work they do in the city.
