The company, which has positioned itself as a leader in AI-driven security defenses, warns that sophisticated attacks using artificial intelligence to impersonate executives or create convincing fraud scenarios can permanently damage stakeholder trust and corporate reputation.
This warning comes after several high-profile incidents, including a case in February 2024 where deepfake technology was used to impersonate executives during a video call, resulting in a Hong Kong finance employee transferring $26 million to fraudsters.
“What makes these attacks particularly dangerous for enterprises is their ability to exploit the hierarchical nature of corporate communications,” said Elliot Kessler, co-founder of CoreSync Solutions and former Fortune 500 cybersecurity architect, in a recent statement. “When employees believe they’re receiving instructions from leadership, they’re naturally inclined to comply quickly.”
Corporate security teams now face multiple sophisticated threats specifically designed to target both finances and reputation:
- Executive voice cloning that can recreate C-suite voices from public recordings
- Corporate deepfakes creating convincing video impersonations of leadership
