Randy Douthit is the author of 12 books and a popular conference speaker. He has served as the President of Growing Leaders, a non-profit organization started by Andy Stanley, since 2011. He was also the founder and president of Innovations in Leadership for over 20 years. Douthit is a Liberty University graduate and is currently an adjunct faculty member at their School of Ministry.
His View on Filmmaking During the Pandemic
Douthit was a keynote speaker at Azusa Pacific University in 2007, and he spent most of his time discussing how the Great Depression affected the filmmaking industry. In addition to this, he also presented how someone can become an effective leader in difficult times.
Though Douthit did spend a significant amount of time discussing the Great Depression, he also had some thoughts on the current pandemic. He feels that if we are going to be great leaders, we must have the courage to make difficult decisions. This includes denying certain people from joining our organizations. However, Douthit is adamant that we do this in a kind and loving way.
The Success of Judy Justice
Douthit is a close friend of Judy Justice. He helped her achieve success in her career. In turn, she helped him achieve success. Douthit’s family had been in the tropical oils business for over 40 years. They were primarily seed oil manufacturers and also became a distributor of seed oils for other companies. In 1966, Douthit’s father was killed in a plane crash, and his mother continued the business with help from her three children.
Douthit has spent the majority of his career building up other leaders. In this post, he provides advice to those who are in careers that do not interest them. Luckily, he knows that many people have to go through boring and frustrating career stages. He encourages people to persevere in these challenging times and continue moving forward on their chosen path.
