The Colcom Foundation is based in Western Pennsylvania and has a desire to make a difference in the area and make a difference throughout the world. The founder, Cordelia May, used her humanitarian perspective to create this incredible foundation that works to create a positive impact on the local ecological balance.

The Colcom Foundation focuses on improving the lives and the ecological balance that exists within Western Pennsylvania. While this foundation reaches nearly half the state of Pennsylvania, many of their efforts are focused in Pittsburgh. The foundation uses every opportunity it can to reach the public.

They have displays available at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, Touchstone Center for Crafts and Community Kitchen Pittsburgh. They have partnered with other foundations in the area like Scenic Pittsburgh, Grounded, Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs and Compassion & Choices to create a positive experience for those living in and visiting the area.

In addition to local efforts, Colcom Foundation works to educate the globe about carrying capacity of the Earth. The Earth cannot support the increasing population and to help ensure a positive environment for future generations, Colcom Foundation is working to help people understand what the human population can do when it is uncontrolled. They are working to educate youth about family planning and people of all ages about immigration and more.

In addition, this foundation also works to enhance the beauty of conservation of the local area. They teach and help fund projects about conserving the land and water within Western Pennsylvania. They are looking to help ensure that all residents and local businesses use sustainable practices to keep the environment as healthy as possible and to reduce pollution.
